The laboratory proficiency testing WCH PG WWA 1 is a program organized
by Department of Analytical Chemistry, Gdansk University of Technology
with cooperation of RefMat Association and LGC Promochem Sp. z
o.o.
The aim of the project is to demonstrate laboratories' competence
in the field of environment contaminations analysis. The scheme
will cover determination of chosen polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons
(PAH) in river sediment. Each participant will be given a sample
of river sediment and also a standard solution of PAH.
All participants will be provided with statistical analysis report
of obtained results. The scheme is fully confidential, with participants
only being identified by unique identification number.
Participation in proficiency testing is very important element
of quality control in laboratories. It provides a regular independent
check on the quality of analytical measurements, enables participants
to compare their performance with peer laboratories and also facilitates
the demonstration of competence to accreditation bodies, regulators
and customers.
